Island Gallery is located at Gedempte Gracht 9, in the centre of ‘art city par excellence’ The Hague. The Netherlands has been known for years as a country of art, both visual and performing. Next to The Mauritshuis, you can find Het Binnenhof; a building complex that has been the center of Dutch politics for centuries and possibly the oldest parliament complex in Europe that still serves as such.

Also, in Het Paleis, the former winter palace of Queen Mother Emma, the best-known works from the oeuvre of Escher can be seen.
