FRANS POLMAN

Island Gallery Frans Polman

Frans Polman was born in 1971 in Apeldoorn, where he grew up and where he eventually, after a few wanderings, settled to live and work. As a child, he had a fascination for the wood of the acacia trees on the Kroondomein in Apeldoorn, where the Dutch royal Paleis Het Loo is located as well. Many years later, he processed this wood and then incorporated it into his first art collection 'Royal', which was launched for the occasion by Hans van Eenennaam – former director of De Keizerskroon and Marshal of former Queen Beatrix.

Nowadays, Frans Polman is a nationally and internationally appreciated visual artist. In addition to his art studio in Apeldoorn, his works of art can be admired at exhibitions at home and abroad. Raw, pure and character are qualities of the natural and sustainable materials with which Frans works. These materials have a strong will of their own and constantly force him to take on new challenges and insights. As a result, Frans continues to grow in his specialism.

We are proud to inform you that Frans created a number of new art pieces, exclusively for Island Gallery.
