Donshu comes from Donovan's nickname Don and SHU is a cover for 'shoe', as in the sneaker; his passion and source of inspiration. Other creative triggers are artists such as Piet Mondrian, Herman Brood, Henk Schiffmacher and Danial Arslan.

Don created the series Never 2 late 4 Flowers for Island Gallery. The illustration on the Art Tiles literally translates this title. A whole tile with the illusion of a broken one, or a broken tile with the illusion of a whole? The text on the Art Cans represent the unsuspecting thought of a visual thinker. Maybe that's where the pieces fall into place.
